New Quay Honey Farm is set in an old chapel on a beautiful farm near New Quay.

THE SHOP sells the honey from the farm’s 600 hives as well as honey mustard, Nougar, Fudge, Marmalades, Chutneys and many other honey products.  The Farm also produces many varieties of MEAD (Honey Wine) in our own purpose built Meadery. These can be tasted before buying. The Shop also sells Candles, Polish, Beeswax, Honey Cosmetics, Honey Beer and a host of other products.

THE TEAROOM sells homemade cakes, coffee, cream teas, ice cream, (including honey ice cream of course) and light meals.

THE EXHIBITION, the largest of its kind in Wales, occupies the whole of the top floor of the chapel.  You can see bees working in a variety of natural habitats, and also in man made hives which open up to show the mysteries of the Bees’ nest.  All these displays can bee viewed behind glass in complete safety.  They show the amazing life of the honey bee before your very eyes, and are enhanced by audio visual presentations about the life of the honey bee.  There is also a tropical ant colony.  These ants grow gardens from decaying leaves for food.  There is an admission charge for the exhibition.

IN THE MEADERY there is a small exhibition which shows the importance of mead in Welsh history and lets you see how mead is made today

  • A fascination exhibition showing the unique World of the Honeybee

  • Special Displays let you see the Bees at work producing one of  nature’s outstanding marvels
